Amelia Ahles

Originally from San Diego, California, Amelia is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Texas A&M University. Amelia works in the Human Behavior Lab under her advisor Dr. Marco A. Palma where she uses behavioral and experimental economics to investigate consumer preferences, beliefs, decision-making, labor markets and marketing to gain a deeper understanding of consumers and promote healthy outcomes. 
Amelia earned a B.S in Agribusiness from Clemson University and a M.S in Agriculture and Resource Economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Amelia’s masters research focused on the economic factors which influence nutrition and food choices associated with diet-related non-communicable diseases and potential policy implications.
