Vinnie Gouvêa

Dr. Gouvêa is an Assistant Professor and the Project Leader for the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Animal Nutrition Laboratory and the Texas A&M AgriLife Research/USDA-ARS Feedlot at Bushland. Before joining the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&M University, Dr. Gouvêa spent three years working for a major global animal nutrition industry, providing technical leadership for feedyards in many countries in Latin America. He also worked for 2 years as an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University – Clayton Livestock Research Center. Dr. Gouvêa’s research interests focus on beef cattle nutrition and health, more specifically, nutritional physiology and relationships between nutrition and animal health/immunology.
